Women's nutrient needs change through life. Herbalife Thailand's "Women's health" series sums up what to focus on through food and daily habits.
Micronutrients women in Asia often lack
- Shortfalls in micronutrients such as iron, folate and vitamin B12 are common among women in Asia

Reproductive years: choose iron-rich foods
- Choose foods high in iron — the image shows liver, mussels and clams, soybeans, dried beans, spinach, mushrooms, eggs and pumpkin seeds
- Eat them with fruit and vegetables high in vitamin C to help your body absorb more
The menopause transition
- Base meals on fruit, vegetables and whole grains
- Add omega-3 sources such as salmon and seeds, along with soluble fibre
