Herbalife Thailand material shares a simple homemade face mask with just 3 ingredients, and says it leaves skin feeling relaxed and moisturised.

Ingredients

  • Oats, 3 tbsp
  • Herbal Aloe Soothing Gel, 2 tbsp
  • Honey, 1 tbsp
  • Hot water, 3 tbsp, to soak the oats

Method

  • Mix the oats with 3 tbsp of hot water and stir for about 20–30 seconds until they swell
  • Add the aloe gel and honey to the oats
  • Let it cool before applying to your face
  • Leave on for about 15–20 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water and a gentle cleanser

About the gel (from the label)

  • 200 ml tube
  • Leading ingredients on the label: water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, chamomile flower extract, yucca extract, artemisia extract and jojoba oil
  • Label directions: apply to the body daily as needed
  • The company material suggests keeping it with you in hot weather

Before you try the mask

  • Patch test first: apply a little to your inner forearm and check there's no redness, itching or stinging
  • Always let the oats cool before applying
  • Avoid the eye area and lips
  • Don't apply to broken or irritated skin
  • Skip it if you're allergic to honey, oats or any ingredient
  • If it stings or irritates while on, rinse it off straight away and stop using it
