Aloe vera is a thick-leaved succulent with clear gel inside. Herbalife Thailand material suggests carrying an aloe drink to refresh yourself during the day, especially in hot weather and while travelling.

Here's how to mix it, how to store it and what's on the label, all in one place.

Mixing one glass

  • Shake the bottle before each use
  • Use 3 capfuls (15 ml) of the concentrated aloe drink
  • Mix with 120 ml of water as the label says, or 4–8 oz (about 120–240 ml) as the company material suggests
  • Stir well and it's ready

Making a jug (1 litre)

  • The label suggests 120 ml of concentrate to 960 ml of water
  • Make it in a jug, then pour some into a bottle to take with you

Storage

  • Once opened, keep the bottle in the fridge along with any unused portion
  • The bottle shown holds 473 ml

Serving ideas from the images

  • Add plenty of ice
  • Garnish with orange or apple slices, as shown
  • Pack a bottle for day trips and sip along the way
  • An easy way to top up your fluids on busy days

On the label (mango flavour)

  • Water 95.94%
  • Aloe vera concentrate 0.47%
  • Chamomile flower juice powder 0.02%
  • Sweetened with sucralose; contains citric acid and preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate)

Quality testing, according to company material

  • Herbalife material states that its method for testing aloin in aloe vera has been certified by AOAC INTERNATIONAL, an organisation for analytical science
  • The material describes it as the world's first AOAC-approved method for detecting aloin
